We offer 4 Standing Strong® term-based programs for girls aged 5 – 16yrs:

Highlighters Strong Little Ones
Highlighters Strong Juniors

STRONG teens program Highlighters

The Standing Strong® Term Program is designed as a proactive and preventative wellness program, as well as supporting children, tweens and teens through any challenges they may be facing.

Each weekly session offers a specific topic designed to encourage and inspire the girls by focusing on connection, belonging, kindness, support and relationship building. Having regular weekly sessions is a great way to build trust, create friendly bonds between the girls and achieve lasting outcomes.

New themes, topics and activities are explored each term and can be enjoyed as a one-off term experience or as a continual program enjoyed over ongoing terms.

Term classes will be hosted face to face at the Wynnum & Manly Meals on Wheels facility/Wakerley District Sports Park within the COVID-19 guidelines.   

STRONG Little Ones (Girls 5-7 years)

This program is run as a 1-hour weekly class across a 9-week term and offers new topics and activities each term.

TERM 2 DATES: Saturdays 9.00am – 10.00am
17 July 2021 – 11 September 2021

LOCATION: 880 Manly Road, Wakerley QLD 4154

COST: $180 per child per term

STRONG Little Ones is a supportive, gentle, interactive and fun program designed to help children feel strong from the inside out.

Lessons have been developed in a fun, engaging way that will foster discussion and a supportive community. Filled with practical tips, activities and discussion prompts, it’s a holistic training program that is sure to inspire and empower little girls.

Strong Little Ones is designed to help kids learn how to:

 

  • Adjust to changes in life, including school, friends and family
  • Build confidence
  • Improve self-esteem
  • Build resilience
  • Understand and establish boundaries
  • Give and receive kindness

  • Take time for self-care

  • Develop mindfulness skills

  • Reduce stress, worry and anxiety

STRONG Juniors (Girls 8-10 years)

This program is run as a 1-hour weekly class across a 9-week term and offers new topics and activities each term.

TERM 3 DATES: Tuesdays 3.30pm – 4.45pm
13 July 2021 – 7 September 2021

14 July 2021 – 8 September 2021

Through the Strong Juniors program kids learn:

  • How to build new and positive friendships
  • How to deal with bullying, competition, failure and life pressure
  • How to create a positive body image and a strong sense of self
  • How to live a happy, healthy and inspired life

STRONG Tweens (Girls 11-13 years)

This program is run as a 1.5 hour weekly class across a 9-week term and offers new topics and activities each term.
